DescriptionDear Sir
I am a little perplexed by your letter. I understand from Mr Eaton that Mr Greenfield whom he has seen is quite ready to lend the picture for engraving by Mr Lumb Stocks and supposed the matter to be settled; has any fresh difficulty presented itself? Mr Davey's plate seems careful but it does not throw much light on his powers of drawing and modelling and I am bound to say that the picture in question would be extremely difficult to render in mezzotint.
Believe me
Faithfully yours
Fred Leighton
