DescriptionDear Signor
I ought to have thanked you sooner for your note. It does seem unjust that one should be assessed for a sum in excess of the letable value of one's house. I also have onemaster's bedroom only! Will you tell Mary with my love that Rossiter has assented to the sale of the house? I will let you know shortly, as members of Council, what the terms are. You have no idea what an interminable (and irritating correspondence I have had with that terrible little man). When they [sic] days are long I shall certainly run down to you one evening and ask you to harbour me for the night. In haste great
Yours affect'ly
Fred Leighton
