DescriptionFlier, examples of work and press release. First London exhibition of work owned by the French archaeologist Remy Audoin showing allegorical works on canvas by Adamu, Qanna Sambata, Ethiopia's foremost folk artist, and Kidane. Their style, inspired by old books and scrolls, reflects the techniques of traditional religious paintings. Qanna Sambatu's work depicts natural landscape and everyday activities while Adamu and Kidane draw mainly on religious and historical subjects. Organised by Rose Issa.
