| Description | A detailed watercolour taken from the deck of a large sailing boat; the moustached sailor is depicted standing behind the entrance to the cabin in a navy blue uniform complete with a hat. The boat is tipping to the right and the main sail is straining in the wind, the sea is a deep blue with the outline of a boat on the horizon and the sky is full of white clouds. Ink is used to pick out details such as the twist of the rope. |
