DescriptionA party of politicans of the day depicted as knights armed cap-a-pie, riding out on a foray, whose steeds have been disagreeably startled and surprised by the sudden appearance of a fool mounted on his ass and brandishing his windbags. The ass is isncribed with the words 'NEW RADICAL PARTY' and the windbags are inscribed ‘ROYAL GRANTS’ and ‘AMMENDMENTS’. One knight labelled ‘JOHN MORELY’(1838-1923) charges his horse towards the fool with a raised hand, while the rest of the knights look unconcerned (one of these knights is labelled ‘ARNOLD MORELY [1849-1916], WHIP’).
