Description | The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Sir Michael Hicks Beach (1837-1916) dressed in tweeds and a bowler hat, looks down into a pen at a very large pig wearing a belt lettered 'REVENUE'. Looking back at them with a scowl on his face is the former Chancellor of the Exchequer Sir William Vernon Harcourt (1827-1904) attired as a country gent/farmer. A sign in the background reads 'HARCOURT'S FOOD FOR CATTLE'. |
