DescriptionAnthropomorphic figure with a body created from a box of 'BALL-POINTED' pens and arms, legs formed from nibs of pens, holds a glass. Worn on his head is a Scottish Tam o' Shanter bonnet decorated with pen nibs in place of feathers.

Advert reads: '[Pointing finger] Pointed to PENMEN By LINLEY SAMBOURNE of 'PUNCH.'
Printed inscription in the artist's hand beside the illustration: 'Like the eagle [?] down with a shaft tipped with one of his own feathers. This fancy portrait of Messrs. Ormiston & Glass is respectfully [dedicated] & drawn with one of their own Ball-Pointed Pens by Linley Sambourne 1893. Printed along the bottom 'A copy of this sketch may be had within gratis by purchase of a sixpenny box of Ball-Pointed Pens./ Ormiston & Glass. /London.'
