| Description | Sketchbook of white, blue and grey cartridge paper, full-bound in calico cloth, a pencil holder with pencil runs along the top, shuts with a woven loop of cotton. Sketchbook is only a fifth full; in the front cover is a pencil sketch of the head of Mr Punch and Roy Sambourne in profile, within the book is a sketch of Fair Island in crayon, botanical watercolour studies, lamppost and architectural studies. Written on the back cover is a note listing the photographs taken during the trip. |
