I have seen the sketch you have kindly sent me to look at; both as an artist and as an old lover of Lyndhurst I am aghast - but no! it is a joke. It cannot be seriously contemplated to carry out this hopeless, barbarous piece of stonemason's Gothic.
Rush to the rescue!
