I have received a printed notice concerning the Slade Professorship but no hint how I am to give my proxy. - that is what I want to know. - The proposal for archaeological studentships has my entire sympathy tho' I feel that they are only one step in the right direction - you want centres of study in one or two points - say Athens & Rome - were [sic] students may digest in fitting [?scenery] the pabulum they may have absorbed in their wanderings.
