Description | <2, Holland Park Road, Kensington W.> Dear Mr Deschamps At a meeting held at the Mansion House a few days ago to receive the final report of the Paris Committee a small surplus was declared and I asked Sir Polydore whether it would not be possible out of to offer you a small sum in recognition of your valuable labours liberally offered without remuneration to the Fine Art Section & I was glad to learn from him that a small sum had been set aside from that surplus for this purpose. I feel that altho the sum is not a large one it will be acceptable to you as an acknowledgement of very valuable exertions which I as Chairman of the Section am especially in position to appreciate. Believe me Yours faithfully Fred Leighton |
