Description | Hornton Villa, Campden Hill 16 Jan 1879 My dear Leighton I cannot tell you now much obliged I am to you for your remembrance of the promise you kindly made me that you would use your influence with the Prince of Wales in the matter of which I spoke to you. It is needless to say how valuable to the scheme will be his approval and recognition of it, and some member or members of our committee will not fail to wait upon H.R.H. as you suggest - but I must add that your own kindly interest in this matter will be gratefully recognized by every actor interested in the success of a project having in view the commencement of his art - and from hopeful and encouraging words will if themselves be of practical value to us in the starting of a scheme fraught with innumerable difficulties. Believe me Most sincerely yours J Hare
