Dear Joachim
I am desirous if possible of helping that sympathetic and most gifted young lady who so kindly played at my house today that I have before going to bed (tomorrow I shall be uber alles Burga) written to Lady Louise Mills who is very kind as well as very wealthy to ask her if she can in any way befriend Mdle Janas her debuts. I do not know whether anything will come of it but I thought it worht trying. When I come back I shall also speak to Mrs Baring.
My dear Joachim I am full of compunction about you and feel; as if I had been very indiscreet in asking you to play that Handel - but you have left no discretion in me after all these years. Once again my warmest thanks both to you and Mme Joachim for so much kindness
