Description | [31 May 1887] 2 Holland Park Road, Kensington Dear Mr King I should be very sorry not to be present on the day of the inauguration of your most beautiful acquisition - and I wish to be among the first to enjoy the privilege which Richmond has secured for us all - it will however to my great regret be impossible for me to be present during the early and ceremonial part of the inaugural festivity. I have engagements which put it out of my power to do so. I hope however to be in Richmond soon after five o'clock and shall not fail to pay my respects to Lady Ellis. Many thanks for your proposal that I should spend the evening also at Richmond, this unfortunately my engagements make impossible. I will send you, in compliance with your wish, the latest of my photographs. I have not at this moment one by me. I am In haste Yours faithfully Fred Leighton
