My dear Leighton
I have spent some hours in the room where poor Mason's pictures are exhibited, and have [-] my mind about them in an article, which I have forwarded to Delane, with a letter, in which I appeal as earnestly as I can to him to [-] to do that picture to this exquisite and most [-] of painters, which he refined to at the time of his death. You know what I feel about Mason, and will understand, I am sure, that if the article does not appear it will be as great an annoyance to me as to yourself. Indeed, I do not know that, in that case, I could continue in relating with the T[-].
