DescriptionDear Mr Woodroffe
By great luck one of my small personal stock of tickets have remianed free thro' the absence of a firend. I ought however to explain for you guidance that under our rules it would not have been in the power of the Sec'y to accede to your wish as all Press tickets go to the Editors with whom lies the selection of their representatives. We find this rule very necessary. The Editor of the [N S G], i need harldy say, has received a ticket for Press purposes.
You will I think be much struck with a most interesting display which I have made my special and personal care of bronzes and basreliefs of (mostly) the Italian Renaissance. The medallions, plaquettes and marble reliefs are of extraordinary beauty.
In haste
Yours truly
Fred Leighton
