DescriptionSir!
I owe to your excellency's generous righteous and firm Character, both the gratification of my request, to be reestablished in the Military Service and my earlier employment in the Navy - With pleasure I would have endeavoured to show my gratitude by the zealous fulfilling of my duty in the business, instrusted to me at the Sea hospital Cronstadt, had not particular circumstances hindred the good success and destroyed my hopes of future happines in the navy service. This hospital owes to your Excellency's, wise regulations the most important improvements, which I always did observe, as an eyewitness, with a grateful sense, and by which a new, benificent sunbeam, shines to this Institute, and will sertainly soon enliven the paralised forcces, of its inwars part and the yet slumbering industry.
I hope your excellency whill vouchsafe to receive with benevolence, these my humble observations and believe me for every, with the most undossemble gratitude and veneration
Your Excellency's
most devoted Servant
John Kahefeld
