DescriptionLetter to Edward Linley Sambourne, artist, from Sir Francis W MacLean, Indian judge, thanking him for his kind and sympathetic letter, feels that in going he is giving up much that he cares about but he was told he ought to go, hopes he has decided wisely, fears that in accepting the Chief Justiceship of Bengal he is giving up a life of ease and comfort for one of hard work and responsibility.
