Fried Sole/ Boiled Aitch Bone of Beef/ New Carrots, Mashed Turnips and Potatoes./ Roast Capors Salad/ Poires au Ro[?]/ Murr[?] On J[?]' in purple ink within a printed repeat patterned border.
On the reverse of the menu is a pencil sketch of a dolphin by John Tenniel and the hand inscription by Linley sambourne 'Sketch of 'Dolphin' by Sir John Tenniel Wednesday March 13. 1895. at Punch Dinner it shows the shape of a classical dolphin.' |
