DescriptionLetter to Marion Sambourne from her brother Edgar Herapath, thanking her for her letters, he has been so hard up for writing paper recently that he could only write to Sophy, they have been under fire three times including at Orange Camp and Poplar Grove, asks her to tell Con[rad Herapath] to stay out of South Africa as it is not the place for a man with children and to send him a box of chocolates, he has had to leave much of his stores at Cape Town but he has bought a horse from a Free State farmer and half a donkey, Ada and Hamilton [Fletcher] have been very kind to Sophy and she is much taken with their children, the Hickmans too have been kindness itself. Envelope.
