| Description | Letter to Marion Sambourne from her daughter Maud, describing visits to the Royal Palace, where the Dad [Linley Sambourne] took many photographs of the changing of the guard, the Armoury, the Prado, their hotel rooms look out over the square and so they see everything that goes on, Mademoiselle de la Valliere was staying at the hotel in Biarritz and the Dad [Linley Sambourne] got a photograph of her, she does not notice much black being worn as in the Park yesterday all the ladies were wearing Paris gowns and hats.
