| Description | A fitted piano cover. The sides are of russet silk, embroidered in gold-coloured, silk thread with swags, musical instruments and the Sambourne Coat of Arms, in satin stitch. The lower edges of the sides are trimmed with a russet-coloured silk fringe. The upper seams are overlaid with a rust and gold-coloured, plied silk cord, stitched in place.The top has been replaced with modern silk Dupion, russet coloured. The cover is lined with modern, ivory coloured, cotton sateen fabric. |
