DescriptionTen bronze medallions commemorating events of French history. Seven medals depict various profile portraits of the laureate head of the Emperor Napoleon, with his first wife Josephine and then second wife Marie-Louise. The other three depict the storming of the Bastille, ‘SIEGE DE LA BASTILLE’ and the arrival of the Royal Family in Paris, ‘ARRIVÉE DU ROI A PARIS 6 OCTOBRE 1789’ and Bonaparte's 1800 Crossing of the St. Bernard. Medals are inset into a rectangular ebonised frame.
