| Description | Portiere curtain made of green (faded to brown) wool plush stamped [gauffered] with a floral design. The curtain is seamed vertically. It is not interlined but is lined with brown twill cotton fabric. The lower edge is trimmed with a green plied wool fringe 150mm long. The curtain edges are trimmed with a plied wood cord. The curtain heading is gathered onto a green cotton herringbone tape and a brown cotton herringbone tape. Hooks stitched to the heading tape 200mms apart, loop into curtain rings on the Portiere rail. |
