DescriptionLow oak framed chair raised on turned legs and castors, without arms and with straight backs created in a 17th century design. The wooden frames upholstered on the seat and back with a top cover of green/gold, silk velvet. The seat sides and fronts are trimmed with a machine-made fringe of green, red and gold-coloured wool. The upholstery of the seat has a webbing foundation, with no bottoming cover. The velvet is tacked to the underside of the seat frame. The fringe is stitched in place. The outer backs are covered in the same velvet and the velvet has been cut away and tacked around a hand-hold in the wood of the upper back.
