| Description | Directoire style mahogany cylinder bureau with a raised back with a white [carrara] marble top and ormolu gallery, raised back contains three short frieze drawers divided by fluted panels. Below the cylinder fall front that encloses a fitted interior, is another set of three drawers, then a further two smaller drawers flanking a kneehole. All drawers feature ormolu escutcheons of laurel leaf sprays. Bureau elevated on fluted tapering legs. Ormolu borders or fluting used throughout to decorate. |
