The fall front detachable bureau has carrying handles at the sides and is topped with white marble with a ormolu gallery, backed by a panel with a modern green silk curtain. The silk is gathered and tacked to the face of the frame and the tacking line covered with a green silk gimp. The gimp is tacked at 50mms intervals to the edge of the cover. The interior consists of two drawers and open compartments with a writing surface lined with tooled green morocco. Bureau sits on a rectangular table inlaid with white marble that is raised on turned fluted legs with spinning top feet united by a rectangular platform. |
