DescriptionA gent's walnut boudoir/occasional chair with oval back and low, scrolled arms. The back panel features a walnut moulded surround topped by a foliate and scroll-carved toprail, with down swept moulded arms filled with the same pierced foliate scrollwork and flanking a serpentine-fronted seat. The chair is raised on scroll-carved cabriole front supports on brass castors.The seat, back and outer back, are upholstered. The top cover of the upholstery is blue wool, rep fabric. The inner back is buttoned. The edges of the top covers are trimmed with blue silk gimp, adhered over the tacking margin of the top covers. Underneath the webbing is covered with a bottoming fabric of black, plain weave cotton.
