| Description | A [Chinese] black lacquered table cabinet on four ebonised ball feet. Each exterior panel of the cabinet is bordered by a double band of gold stringing. The cabinet is decorated on each corner with an engraved copper corner mount and is fitted with two gilt metal carrying handles. The front double doors are hinged with engraved copper and features a shaped lock-plate engraved with a pair of butterflies. Enclosed within the cabinet are six drawers in a variety of sizes bearing a gilt metal pull handle decorated with a geometric floret surrounding a central lockable arched door shaped drawer. All drawers are lacquered black and painted with red and gold design. |
