DescriptionFully upholstered, easy armchair,with a loose cover of turquoise blue, cotton and synthetic (Rayon?) damask. The seams are piped with the same fabric. The cover is trimmed with a knotted, silk fringe at the lower edge. The cover closes at the back proper left corner, with hooks and eyes. Machine stitched. Beneath the loose cover, it is just possible to see that the chair is upholstered with a top cover of green wool damask fabric. The seams are piped with cotton cord and there is a modern, cotton, braid trim around the lower edge. The outer back is covered with a modern, cotton upholstery fabric with patterned weave. Underneath the seat the upholstery has a black, plain weave, bottoming cover over webbing. The upholstery is sprung. The seat back is not buttoned.
