Inscribed on the flyleaf by Edward Linley Sambourne, artist, 'The Photographs [sic] in this & the succeeding Volumes were taken during a trip to the Spanish Peninsular [sic]. Leaving London for Paris on Sunday March 1 1907 joining my son in law & daughter Mr & Mrs L C R Messel in Paris the same Day [sic]. Biarritz March 18th Madrid March 22 Seville March 25th Cordova April 2 Malaga April 4th Granada April 12th Rondo April 16 Cordova April 17th Madrid April 18th Toledo April 19th Paris April 21st returning Home to Kensington Monday April 22nd 1907. They were all Taken [sic] developed & enlarged by myself. Linley Sambourne July 1908. One of four volumes. Linley records the date and location for each photograph. |
