Inscribed on the front 'Roy & his very dear and sweet little dog Rikki Tikki, who died August 24th 1899. Poor little dog - poor little dog!' and on the reverse 'Rikki Tikki - one of the sweetest and dearest little dogs I have ever had. I would not have lost him for £100 - poor little 'appy - I shall never forget him, nor how fond I was of him.' Both inscriptions in Roy's handwriting. |
