Description

Full-length reclining, male figure, lying on his back, facing the viewer. The head is raised and tilted back. The right arm is raised above the head and rests at its side. The left arm is raised above the head and the forearm is placed on the forehead. The right foot is placed flat and the left is raised off the ground with only the toes touching. The figure is in drapery around the waist and lies on brown drapery spread over rocks. To the left of the canvas there is a full-length standing figure of an angel with large wings. The figure is with their back to the viewer, turned to the right. The head is tilted downwards towards the male figure. There is a glow around the head. The right arm is extended and holds a water pitcher. The left hand is extended and holds a round fruit. The figure is in classical dress in white. The wings are shades of purple and red. In the background there is a pale pink sky and white clouds.
