A reporter for the 'Pall Mall Budget' visited Leighton at his home in Holland Park Road, Kensington, in 1890 and noticed a selection of drawings for the painting 'Perseus and Andromeda' (c.1891, The Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool), lying on a table in the artist's studio.
