Leighton House
About the evening
Join us for a relaxed Drink & Draw class taking inspiration from Leighton’s iconic depictions of the female nude, specifically his celebrated bathing compositions: Venus Disrobing for the Bath (Private Collection), The Bath of Psyche (Tate Britain) and A Bather (Private Collection).
Throughout the evening our life model will recreate and expand upon the elegant contrapposto, sweeping drapery, and graceful, contemplative poses captured in Leighton’s bathing masterpieces. You’ll explore themes of rhythm, form, light and the interplay between body and fabric in the very home where Leighton lived and painted.
Can't make it?
