Your donations support our work at Leighton House and Sambourne House, helping to preserve our beloved artists’ homes.
Donations of all sizes to The Friends charity are essential to ensure the preservation of Leighton House and Sambourne House and their collections.
Fundamental conservation and maintenance work, acquisitions of lost artworks, the development of our learning and community programmes and the ambitious undertaking of Hidden Gem to National Treasure in improving accessibility would not have been possible without your support.
Your donation could achieve...
- £50 could get our volunteer gardeners seeds and plants for the Leighton House garden, which has been reinstated after the Hidden Gem construction works
- £200 would cover the delivery of one of our workshop for schools & community groups in the refurbished Salata Learning Centre at Leighton House
- £470 would buy all materials needed our Family Fun workshops for a season, encouraging young people to engage with art and visit the museums
- £1,000 would enable us to carry out much needed conservation work on the textiles and wallpapers at Sambourne House, which require routine repairs and maintenance
- £2,500 would fund the redecoration work for an exhibition changeover in the new galleries at Leighton House, for which there is now an ambitious temporary exhibitions programme
- £5,000 could help us acquire historic furniture pieces and decorative objects to enrich the presentation of the historic spaces at Leighton House, bringing it as close as possible to how it was in Leighton's lifetime
