About this workshop

A hands-on workshop for young creatives to explore the vibrant world of natural dyes, extract colour from plants and try tie-dye and shibori techniques on fabric.

 

Useful information
  • A drop off workshop suitable for unaccompanied young people aged 11-16yrs.
  • The session will take place in the  Learning Centre at Leighton House.
  • Entry to the museum and exhibitions is included for young people joining the workshop. Adults can enjoy the garden and Drawings Gallery for free, or visit the cafe, but will need to buy an admission ticket if they wish to visit the historic house.
  • All materials will be provided and participants will be able to take home their creation.

Meet CNDS Studio

CNDS Studios is an East London based creative studio specialising in fibre-based practices and natural dyes, focusing on collaborative design and sustainable development. They are returning to Leighton House to share their expertise in response to our temporary exhibition Out Shopping: The Dresses of Marion and Maud Sambourne (1880-1910)
