to the public for housekeeping and conservation. We
will reopen on Saturday 8 September 2018.
DAYS WE ARE OPEN
18 Stafford Terrace is open to the public on Wednesdays,
Saturdays and Sundays at the times below. Entrance is via the
basement down a few steep steps.
Wednesdays and Sundays, 11am - 12:15pm
Led by our expert guides, the informative tours give a memorable
insight into the Sambournes' lives and home, from interior
decoration, eccentric possessions, to their day to day activities.
The tour will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and includes

Saturdays, 11am - 12:15pm
As guests of Mrs. Sambourne or her parlour maid Mrs. Reffell,
the actor-led tour provides a dramatic account of life at 18
Stafford Terrace, based on Marion Sambourne's diaries. The tour
will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and includes an

A self-guided visit that allows you to explore 18 Stafford
Terrace at your own pace. On-site volunteer visitor assistants and
information cards can provide background and answer questions.

Every third Wednesday of the month, 7pm

the third Wednesday of every month at 7pm .

Special costumed tours for families during half-term. Suitable
for children over the age of 5.

PRIVATE GROUPS AND SCHOOL
Public open days are suitable for individuals, couples and small
groups of up to 6 people. If you would like to come with a
larger number please visit Tours and School Visits page. Joint visits with
Leighton House Museum are also available.
