Workshops last 90 minutes. 

Visits can be extended by adding a self-led tour of the house or by viewing the temporary exhibitions.  A visit to Leighton House Museum can be combined with a visit to 18 Stafford Terrace, The Sambourne Family Home

 

Leighton House Museum is closed on Tuesdays.  Self-guided visits are welcome Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 10.00am – 4.30pm.

Workshops take place on Thursdays, ideally, but can be accommodated Monday/Wednesday/Friday if preferred .

 

Preliminary planning visit:

Teachers are warmly encouraged and welcome to come to Leighton House Museum for familiarisation, and discussion with the Museum Educator.  This is an opportunity to carry out a risk assessment, review the facilities, and adapt the workshop in the light of any particular needs and interests of the group.

 

Supervision:

Please allow one adult for every eight primary age pupils.

Maximum class size 30 children. 

 

Facilities:

An area is available to keep coats, and a small lunch room (capacity 25) can be reserved.  Weather permitting, picnic lunches in the garden are welcome.

 

Cost:

£3.00 per pupil, maximum cost of a visit is capped at £65.00.
