Private group tours

To book a Private Tour please use our Enquiry Form

All tours last approximately an hour and a half, except for the Joint Tours.

£10 per person

Minimum of 12 people, maximum of 50 (groups over 30 will be divided in two).

The tour is led by one of our expert guides. They discuss the history of the house and Leighton’s life and work. The tour also includes special access to the servants' quarters in the basement, and the models staircase.

We do not run specialist tours, as such, but if your group has a particular area of interest please do let us know in advance and we will try and tailor the tour accordingly

Museum entry applies £7 adults and £5 concessions.

Maximum 50 people.

Self-guided groups need to book in advance to visit the museum so that we can manage visitor numbers and flow. Self-guided groups will be asked to pay in advance; this will speed up your entry to the museum so you can get straight on with enjoying your visit.

External guides are welcome to give tours in the house; we ask that you ensure there is still access to all the rooms for general visitors.

Guidebooks are available to purchase and there is also a free iPod tour (MediaFire compressed zipped folder, 89.2MB).

Please note that there are a limited number of iPods available to borrow from reception (not available for pre-booking).

STUDENT GUIDED TOUR (applies to full time students)

£8 per student, teachers/course leaders are free.

Suitable for 16+. Maximum 50 students (groups of over 30 will be divided in two).

The guided tour of Leighton House Museum will give your students an excellent insight into both the house and Lord Leighton. The tour lasts for about an hour and a half and will include access to the servants' quarters in the basement.

Although the tour provides a general overview, if you are studying a particular area or theme, please do let us know and we will do our best to include relevant information on the tour.

£18 per person

Minimum 12 people and maximum of 50 people (groups of over 30 will be divided in two).

Joint tours allow you to experience both houses in the same day. You will enjoy a comprehensive tour of one house in the morning and then have a break for lunch, for which you can visit one of the many local café’s or restaurants. Your group will then visit the other house in the afternoon for a second tour. This gives a really interesting insight into two artists living close to each other, at precisely the same period, but with very different homes and professional standings.

Groups of over 30 will be divided in two. Half will start at Leighton House and half at 18 Stafford Terrace. They will then swap houses for the afternoon tour before gathering together at the end of the visit.

£10 per person for tour of 18 Stafford Terrace plus museum entry charge to Leighton House Museum; £7 Adults and £5 Concessions.  Minimum 12 maximum of 30 (groups of over 30 will be divided in two).

This option gives you a tour of 18 Stafford Terrace in the morning or afternoon, plus the chance to explore Leighton House Museum at your leisure. Paying in advance for the visit to Leighton House Museum will ensure your group has a booked time and can easily pass through reception.

Groups of over 30 will be divided into two and both a morning and afternoon tour of 18 Stafford Terrace booked.
