Christmas gifts. Our hand-picked traders celebrate the products,
the art and design and traditional crafts of the Middle East, where
Leighton travelled often.

A talk exploring the work of American
painter Frederic Church (1826-1900) and his home, Olana, a
prime example of Orientalist eclecticism in architecture. This will
be considered in contrast to Victorian artist Frederic Leighton and
his ‘House Beautiful’ in West London.

from our handling collection on display in Leighton’s studio. From
De Morgan ceramics to Leighton’s correspondence, our knowledgeable
volunteers will share fascinating insights into the history of each
piece – just put the conservation gloves on and join us.
