Venues for your ceremony

You may marry or form a civil partnership anywhere in England or Wales which is licensed for civil ceremonies regardless of where you live. There are many venues within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea which have been licensed for civil ceremonies.

Below you will find a list of the venues within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea which are available for a marriage or civil partnership ceremonies.

Please note that Chelsea Old Town Hall closes for a refurbishment on 20 August 2018 for a period of around six months, during which time ceremonies will be delivered from Kensington Town Hall.

Should you require a marriage registration or civil partnership registration in the statutory room, please note that this type of ceremony can only accommodate four people (the two of you and your two witnesses) due to the small size of the interview room used. This room has limited availability.  

Please note that any ceremonies taking place within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea are subject to our Lateness Policy.

If you are getting married or holding your civil partnership in the Brydon Room, the Rossetti Room, or the Harrington Room, please remember to state Chelsea Old Town Hall as your venue when you attend to give notice. If you are getting married or holding your civil partnership in the Committee Room or the Mayor’s Parlour, please remember to state Kensington Town Hall as your venue when you attend to give notice.
