The Brydon Room
Room description
On the 22 February 2021, The Prime Minister has announced the government’s roadmap to ease lockdown restrictions in England. The latest rules disclose that marriages and civil partnerships can commence from Monday 29 March 2021. The roadmap for weddings outlines four steps for easing restrictions. Before proceeding to the next step, the Government will examine the data before allowing the next step to proceed. You can read the published guidance in full in the Government's COVID-19 response document.
It is important to note, until restrictions are removed from wedding ceremonies (21 June) social distancing and face coverings will still be required.
What are the four key steps?
Step One, 29 March:
The Brydon Room will allow the couple + 4 guests
Step Two, no earlier than 12 April:
The Brydon Room will allow the couple + 13 guests
Step Three, no earlier than 17 May:
The Brydon Room will allow the couple + 18 guests
Step Four, no earlier than 21 June:
The Brydon Room will allow the couple + 38 guests
It is important to note that before proceeding to the next step, the Government will monitor the data to assess the impact of the previous step. If any changes or delays are made to which alters the roadmap for wedding ceremonies, the Government will give one week notice and we will update ceremonies that will be affected.
