CLCH Adult Autism Diagnostic Service

CLCH Adult Autism Diagnostic Service is a diagnostic-only service for over 18s. Provides limited post diagnostic support (up to 4 post diagnosis appointments). Proactive work with GPs (our main referrers) to discuss cases they are considering referring and there is a 'referrer hotline' available with the CLCH clinicians. Referrals are made by GPs or a referral can be made by contacting the service directly. For more information, contact Ian Jones by emailing [email protected].

Child Development Service

Child Development Service does autism assessment following a referral from GPs, schools, health visitors, and other health professionals. The child is seen by a paediatrician and Speech and Language therapist for pre-school children, or a paediatrician and clinical psychologist for school age children. Information from parents, schools or nurseries and formal diagnostic autism measures are all used, and parents are supported with information whilst they wait for diagnosis. All parents are offered a follow-up appointment with a member of the assessment team and offered a post-diagnostic group. Services are available at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and Parkview Centre for Health & Wellbeing, St. Mary's Hospital and Woodfield Road Medical Centre. For more information, contact Julia Sandell by emailing [email protected].
