Making a safeguarding referral
Actions
Referrals to Children’s Social Work teams (for CIN and CP concerns) in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea should now be made via the new dedicated online portal.
The Social Care Portal is a new digital solution which has replaced our previous word document/email referral process. Our goal has been to streamline the referral process, making it a simpler, faster and more user-friendly experience for our partners.
It is a shared site with Westminster Children’s Services, but any referrals made using the referral link below will only be submitted to Kensington and Chelsea.
You do not need an account or password in order to access the form and you will be able to download a copy of the referral for your records.
If you believe the child is at risk of significant harm because of abuse or neglect, please do not delay calling Family Services on 020 7361 3013 (or directly to the relevant Locality Social Work Team if known) and then follow up your call with the referral form on the portal.
If you believe the child is at risk of immediate harm, please contact the Police.
London Ambulance and major hospitals (such as Chelsea and Westminster and St Mary’s) can continue to send in their standardised referral forms as usual. All other providers are encouraged to use the new referral portal.
Visit the RBKC corporate website for more information.
