Support during the transition to adulthood

ASSIST London: (Autism Support Signposting Information Services Team) is part of The National Autistic Society. ASSIST is commissioned by Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea local authorities to provide free support for adults on the autism spectrum. http://search3.openobjects.com/kb5/lbhf/fis/service.page?id=4kTU67vstgU&familychannel=4.

CAAS: Centre for ADHD & Autism Support provide individual, practical executive function support for autistic adults without a learning disability. The service supports autistic adults to connect with their GP to start the autism assessment, to engage with Social Care and Mental Health Teams to conduct a Care Act Assessment, and at our monthly Thinking About Adulthood (TAA) online forum. SCOPE Career Pathways are a careers advice service for disabled people aged 15-25, providing 1:2:1 careers advice. Referrals can be made at this link https://www.scope.org.uk/employment-services/career-pathways/eligibility-check/. The service is available Monday-Friday 9-5, in schools, colleges, the community or remotely. It is free of charge. For more information, contact Jodi Coxill-Moore by emailing [email protected]. 

Balance provide 1:2:1 support to access paid employment, work experience, volunteering or training opportunities for RBKC and Westminster young people with a learning, physical or sensory disability. Supported Access offers help to find volunteering and work placements matching a person's needs, interests and skills for those aged 16-25. They also offer self-care, employability and creative workshops and activities. They are based at the Volunteer Centre in Kensington and Chelsea. Westminster Employment support young adults to find employment. There is an option to come in for a pre-referral meeting along with the individual’s circle of support, to go through the support available. Contact Michelle Seale at [email protected] for more information.
