La Scuola Italiana A Londra (SIAL)
Actions
La Scuola Italiana a Londra is a full-time bilingual Italian and English Primary School with a Nursery, fully recognised both by the British and the Italian governments. Students at La Scuola Italiana a Londra benefit from a wider and more complete education which combines Italian and British cultures, the values of which prepare them to deal with the complexities of the world they live in.
Each class has two mother-tongue Class Teachers, one Italian and one English, supported by English and Italian mother-tongue Teaching Assistants. Specialist teachers in Music, Art, Drama and P.E. also contribute to the teaching. The English and Italian teachers work in parallel, with groups of children, on a common curriculum designed to cover the educational objectives of both the English and the Italian curricula. This ensures the continuity of learning for the children, whilst contributing to the development of bilingualism.
