Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster School Health Service
Actions
Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster School Health Service, supports the physical and mental health of children and young people from 5 to 19 years old, offering a valuable link between health and education services.
We help children and young people to develop the skills they need to manage the challenges they might face in school, at home or in their personal lives.
Every school in Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster has a named school nurse.
As a service, we work in close partnership with parents, carers, schools, colleges, GPs, health visitors, safeguarding services and other agencies to promote the good health and wellbeing of school-aged children and young people.
Our team is made up of school nurses, staff nurses, school health technicians, a specialist CAMHS nurse (Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services) and specialist sex and relationship workers.
On the website there is a health and wellbeing zone, you can find lots of helpful information and advice for parents and carers about health, emotional wellbeing, and other topics.
We have separate health and wellbeing zones for primary school children and young people which you can also browse for information.
You can also ask our school nurses a question about health and wellbeing online or contact our service directly to find out more about what we offer or to make an appointment for your child.
