About me:

I am a professional, kind and caring Childminder with over 20 years of experience working with babies, toddlers, children and their families. My background is in Early Years education, and I worked as a Nursery Teacher for 10 years before becoming a registered Childminder. I have also completed training in both Montessori and Early Years education.

I am an Ofsted-registered Childminder, providing full-day childcare for children under the age of five and I can also provide school pick ups. I am also a mother to an 18-year-old daughter who lives with me and is my registered Childminding Assistant. Together, we provide a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued and supported. We have a lovely home and a beautiful garden where children have plenty of opportunities to play, explore and learn through meaningful experiences.

My philosophy is that every child is a capable and independent learner. I believe each child is unique, with their own interests, strengths and pace of development. I provide a loving, nurturing and safe environment where children are encouraged to build confidence, develop new skills and reach their individual milestones. Through play-based learning and carefully planned activities, I support every child in achieving their next steps in learning and development while fostering a lifelong love of learning.

My childcare setting:

I have studied the Montessori philosophy and have previously taught in Montessori nurseries, where I gained valuable experience supporting children through a child-centred approach to learning. I have also completed Read Write Inc. Phonics training and taught phonics within a nursery school, helping children develop early literacy skills through engaging and structured activities.

With over 20 years of experience working with babies, toddlers and young children, including 10 years as an Early Years Teacher, I have a wealth of knowledge in child development. Working with a wide range of children has given me the confidence, skills and expertise to meet each child’s individual needs and support them in reaching their full potential. I genuinely enjoy working with children and am passionate about providing them with the very best start in life.

I possess excellent communication skills and believe that building strong, positive relationships with both children and their families is essential. I was born and raised in Notting Hill, London, and I am of Moroccan heritage. I work from my welcoming home in Notting Hill, which includes a beautiful, secure garden where children have daily opportunities to explore, play and learn outdoors.

I hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Education and continually update my professional knowledge through training and development. I also hold an enhanced DBS check, a Paediatric First Aid certificate, Safeguarding training, Keeping Children Safe in Education training, and a Food Hygiene certificate.

I lead an active and engaging programme of activities that encourages children to learn through play and real-life experiences. Regular outings include visits to local parks, soft play centres, Monkey Music sessions, museums, stay-and-play groups, the local library, fire stations, dentists and doctors’ surgeries. These experiences help children develop confidence, curiosity and an understanding of the world around them, including learning about the important roles of people who help us in the community.

I believe that working in partnership with parents is fundamental to a child’s success. I provide regular feedback about each child’s day, including their learning, achievements, meals, sleep and overall wellbeing, ensuring parents feel informed and involved in their child’s development.

Our daily routine:

I provide a healthy snack & a cooked meal. Children go to the library for story/rhyme sessions we go to the park. We play indoors and outdoors. We also visit the museum & farm.
