All Saints Catholic College - Autism Inclusion Base (Kensington and Chelsea)

The Bethlehem Centre at All Saints Catholic College, 75 St Charles Square, North Kensington, London W10 6EL, is a Specialist Resourced Provision (SRP) for young people aged 11-16 with an EHCP whose primary need is Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), including Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).

The Bethlehem Centre combines specialist teaching with access to a broad and enriching secondary curriculum. Teaching is tailored to individual strengths and needs, with a strong focus on developing communication and language skills so that pupils can engage successfully in learning, build relationships, and participate confidently in school life. Planning is informed by each learner’s EHCP and supported by specialist speech and language advice.

The provision is led by a qualified teacher and supported by teaching assistants under the oversight of the school's SENDCo. Students based in the SRP are supported to access mainstream lessons where appropriate, as well as wider school activities, enabling them to remain part of the school community while benefiting from targeted specialist support. The provision aims to develop communication skills, confidence and independence, helping young people to engage successfully in education and everyday life.

The provision seeks to identify the individual communication profile and needs of the students within it and tailor a curriculum delivered at a level which students can access. The curriculum is designed to facilitate progress within their communication skills, whilst still providing a broad range of subjects so that students receive an enriching education.
